Most lipsticks are composed of
pigment suspended in wax. So you apply
them as you would a crayon.
But this lipstick is a
semi-permanent stain - more like artists' opaque ink for painting. You apply three thin smooth layers of this
lip stain using the wand. Then you add a
layer of moisturizing sealer gloss to lock in color for many hours.
If you do not apply the sealant
gloss, your color will wear off in just a few hours.
Like an artist's canvas, your
lips should be clean and dry with absolutely no product on them. Shake the lip stain in a horizontal motion to
thoroughly mix contents.
Using the flat side of the wand,
apply the lip color by swiping in one direction from outside end to outside end
- just like an artist's brushstroke on special paper.
Apply one layer. If you have full lips like me, it will take
two swipes on each of your lips for one layer of color. If you "color outside the lines"
just remove errant lip color while wet by using a Q tip.
Do not rub your lips
together - keep them separated. Let dry
20 seconds or so.
I usually put on eye makeup in
between applying the three layers of color and sealer.
Are you feeling a tingle? This is because your lips are chapped at the noticeable or microscopic level. Just wear the gloss at night for a few days. Moisturizing Shea butter will heal your lips and take the tingle away.
Apply two more layers and let dry.
Generously apply the moisturizing
gloss/sealer. Now is the time to rub
your lips thoroughly!
When applied properly and sealed
with gloss, your lip stain will last 7-10 hours.
Practice makes a perfect wedding day look -
and it's fun!
Start wearing your new lip stain
to your all your bridal events including: cake tasting, venue tours, wedding
gown fittings, bridal shower, and rehearsal dinner. Your lovely lip color
won't come off on your fork or napkin during the cake tasting, it won't wear off
during a full day of visits to potential venues, it won't come off on your
bridal gown during fittings, and you will look lovely throughout your entire
rehearsal dinner. No need to keep
applying lipstick for the cameras when you are happily surrounded by family and
friends.
Some brides like to wash their
lipstick off and apply fresh layers and sealer when they change into their
Going Away ensemble so their lipstick lasts all night long. So don't
forget to pack your lip stain and sealer/gloss in your Going Away bag!
